Sorry the story didn’t work better for you, Azteclady. This was my first continuity series and it was a great experience. Every book is different, with unique challenges. I loved Cole and Tessa, but I can see where you might feel short-changed by all the secondary characters. Hopefully, you won’t give up on my writing.

I read this one back in April and a line from my review that jumped out at me?

This plot does work as long as the reader doesn’t think about it too hard.

Pretty much everything you said, and yeah – way too many secondary characters. They took up too much time and space and frankly – I didn’t care. I wanted Tessa and Cole, not all those other people. My final grade was a C+.

I’m not going to make a call on the author’s style, but it does sound like a real soap opera going on. Maybe that’s to be expected when you have multi writers contributing to a storyline? Don’t know, but if I like a book I expect the same author to continue the storyline. But maybe I’m just being selfish.
