Las said it: Awesome indeed!

I had to take several deep breaths before I got to the good news, though: the Fred Phelpses of the world make me sick.

We did something similar when they protested at the funerals of children killed in a bus crash a few years ago. People donated money to the families based on how long they protested. The media gave them no coverage at all, and law enforcement kept them so far away from the actual funerals that they couldn't be seen.

Awesome!

This reminds me of a magazine article I read years ago, about how a woman's health clinic dealt with abortion protesters that gathered around the building, intimidating patients. They started an "Adopt a Protester" program to raise money for low-income patients. The more protesters, the more money was made. It wasn't very long before the anti-choice people stopped showing up.

This will certainly upset the group and it is possible that they will leave early to stop our fundraising.
