I guess that I didn't convey my concerns properly--such as the villain's motivation and... well, a bit over the top presence. There are a couple of other things but I feel I can't discuss them in the review without spoiling some of the developments in the last third or so of the book. It is a great book nonetheless, but a ten? I can't think of more than two books that are ten in my mind--perhaps my grading system is over strict. I like vampire books (if well written) and can't stand the Psy/Changeling world (that whole psy-net jedi-mind trip thing was just too weird and soooo boring). So this book may be a happy medium for me cuz angels and vamps are more my cuppa. lol. Good review; I feel much more informed as to the actual contents of the book and what to expect (rather than a series of squeeing over the author). haha, I’m kind of the opposite of Karen.
