Mallery is very much on the miss side of hit&miss for me but I liked this one. The horsey bits didn’t make me cringe too much but no power on earth will make me read the one with the horse dancing librarian.

I'm very flattered Carolyn, and I really hope you like it. I honestly have never liked anything else by Mallery as much as this one, though Sweet Trouble is a guilty pleasure and Only Yours is very good.

Thank you, Willa. I think I have some more books of Mallory’s in the TBR pile, got them as freebies. If I like this one as much as I think I will, I’ll be hauling them out and taking a closer look at this writer.

All different couples. The format is 3 groups of 3 books (plus novellas), so there are more relationships within each trilogy — in this grouping, the heroes were all brothers. But all the books share characters. I think you could dive in with this one if it appeals to you.

I would say Mallery is generally less funny than Higgins and has less depth. But the small town settings are similar.

Hey. I got a couple of questions, if I may. Been on hiatus from reading romances for quite some time and only got back into them recently. Anyhow, is the series about the same couple, or is there a different couple in each book?

SM’s writing, or at least the plotlines, sounds like she may be similar to Kristan Higgins. Am I wrong?
