I’ll be so mad if it’s a load of shite. God I hate being a sheep.
Anybody read it yet?

    Nooo…..I can’t believe you caved.

Okay, the book isn’t that bad, but it’s just fun escapist stuff. The author likes to hit you over the head with everything as it happens, just to keep the idiots who may be reading the book from not complaining like they would if they actually had to think.

So…not bad, just not anything spectacular.

Hehe I liked it for what it was but know that it’s just an extended scavenger hunt. Is that the paperback cover? I think I like it better than the US hardcover. It’s still not in pb here.

I read it on holiday last year, and, actually, I enjoyed it a lot. It certainly had a way of making you look at things you know about and then think about them in a different light.

Oh, I loved it. For all its flaws, it’s highly readable and so damn dorky fun. 😀

I read it awhile back but it totally kept me entertained, and that’s all I wanted out of it.

I read “Angels and Demons” first and it’s much better than “DaVinci Code”. IMO the best part of DC is the very end, the rest is like reading an encyclopedia. Just remember – IT’S FICTION. (G)

OK, the general consensus is that it was quite a good read, I’ll take your word for it!! The darned thing should have arrived from Amazon today, but apparently there’s been a delay.

Jay, that’s the paperback cover, I think it looks great too!

I’ve read Angels and Demons which is brilliant. From what I understand The D code is good for lite entertainment as long as you don’t take it too seriously lol.

It’s a great read. It’s entertaining and even a slow reader like me go throught it at a fast pace.About the ideas and facts that had trouble so much the religions, and some peoples…it will depends on how verse you are in some religions topic and how thick is the line between faith and facts for you.
I did like it a lot! It make me want to know more about some things I took by faith before. I’m a catholic, with a very catholic mother, in a very catholic country..But I’m not close, blind tied to my religion!
