Polly’s Perilous Pleasures 
Apologies for the lack of post today, but it’s been ridiculously busy at work.
Anyhoo, I wandered over to EC and found this book by Daisy Dexter Dobbs (what a wonderful name, must be a pseudonym). It’s called Polly’s Perilous Pleasure.
Why did I buy it? Because I liked the cover. Talk about shallow huh. If you want to know what it’s about, just click here.
It has a chicklit feel about it. Is there such a thing as ChickRomantica?
If it’s rubbish, I may or may not post a review, depends on whether I can be arsed or not.

lol I think the story looks cute, but I have to admit that although the idea of the cover is cute, the thing is rather amateurish. Kinda a “what was the artist thinking?”

Definitely a completely different kind of cover than you usually see on EC’s books. I hope you post a review when you’re finished because I’m debating on whether or not to get this book and would love to hear your opinion first.

Thanks for stopping by my page! I’ve always loved having company.
As for colored fonts on side bar…I got it from just scrolling through like templates, including the one I use, and searching for the code. I’m sure there must be some site (probably the author of the template) where you could get more info. I’m a strictly fly by the seat of my pants and trial and error gal. : )
I cruised by EC quickly and didn’t see anything this week that struck my fancy…Loose-ID either. I’m anxious for Sarah McCarty’s CONCEPTION to come out.
Saw your post on Sarah’s Yahoo group. 1900 emails!!!! My compulsive nature would go into overload.

Nicole, I think what I like about is the amateurish look. It looks fun, and because there aren’t many covers like this at EC, it immediately caught my eye.
Hey TV AddictGurl, I read the book, and I will be reviewing it at some point. It had lots of funny moments, as well as disturbing ones.

I don’t know actually, I haven’t even looked at Lord Kir yet. If it’s missing, I shall inform Martha at EC, she’s really good at responding to problems quickly.
