I’ll try to upload Cheryl Holt’s interview this weekend, but for now, you’ll have to make do with random ramblings from moi.

I was gratified to see that former pop star, Gary Glitter will be serving the next three years in prison, for sexually abusing two kids in Vietnam. Apparently he’d taken showers with the children, and done other unspeakable things to them. Sigh.

I hear the prisons there are no picnic, not like over here where he’d get a three course meal every meal time, and be privvy to better state of the arts equipment than I can afford. May you rot in hell you perverted fuck.

In other news, congratulations to James Blunt for being the first Brit since Elton John’s Candle In The Wind, to get to number 1, in the American Billboard chart. For all those people who slated your album, and told you that you sounded like a girl, you can now tell them to go kiss your ring-piece, whilst smiling beautifully at them.

Also, can I ask you guys, did the £53 million heist £53 million ($92m) heist make the news over in America? I must admit, when I first heard about the robbery, my first thoughts were, wow, what brilliant planning to pull such a dastardly deed off, but little by little, the shit’s going to the wall, with the people involved, being rooted out one by one. I bet they don’t catch the brains behind the whole operation, he’ll be away in St Lucia somewhere, living the life of Riley.

I’m still struggling to believe that one of the women arrested was caught out when she took a load of cash to a bank, and tried to make a deposit. Bird, it probably didn’t help that it had the name of the bank where the heist had taken place, stamped all over the money bags. What a twat.

OK, off to work now, I’ll catch up with you later.

Over here in France it was front page news (wow!)
My hubby loves James Blunt but my sons make gaggnig sounds whenever he’s on the radio. I prefer StarSailor. And my fave is Franz Ferdinand. Such talent!

Hatehatehatehate James Blurgh!! So what if he’s the first UK artist to top the US charts since Sir Elton. I still want to put a metal spike through my forehead whenever I hear him.

Glitter should have got more prison time, but as you say, likely the conditions over are not so cushy as the UK.

Another vote for James Blunt. I agree he’s no crooner, but somehow I like him anyway.

That bank heist made me wonder what the hell is going over there re: banks. Esp. after that huge heist in Ireland. On the other hand, we here in Washington DC have such amazingly bright bank robbers as the Cell Phone Bandit.

She didn’t?! *howling with laughter* She obviously left her brain at home. What a silly mare.

As for Gary Glitter, he’s seriously dead to me.

I didn’t hear anything about the bank heist over here in the states. But if she tried to deposit the cash with the bank’s name stamped on it, she deserves everything coming to her, and then some. As my kids would say… Duh!

As for Gary GLitter, as much as he’s protesting, if he actually did it, then he deserves everything a Vietnamese prison can hand him. If he didn’t, well, then, I feel bad for him, and he should be thankful it’s only 3 years.

And on another note – I can’t wait to read your Cheryl Holt interview! I love her books!!!!

I heard about the bank heist quite a bit in Seattle, WA, USA. What an idiot that woman was! Too Stupid To Live.

Is Blunt his real last name? Some of his songs are about marijuana and the whole, “F*cking high” bit made me think he’s a little too fond of the mary jane.

Dawn, I’m always surprised that so many people feel that way about his songs, but I really like them!

Maili, she was a shame to womankind!

Sam, I’m not into Franz Ferdinand at all! I can listen to Starsailor, but I would never go out and buy their album!

Amanda, I was more amused about the judge being called Judge Gerald Bruce Lee. Hehehe

Lori, I will post the interview on Sunday evening!

Maura, I couldn’t believe that the person behind the robbery would require the aid of such a stupid woman!

Shawn, I have no idea what song you’re thinking of, unless you’re talking about how high his voice gets *g*
