Calling All Authors…

So, Anne’s got a question for authors and aspiring writers out there:

“how detailed do you write your synposis? and what’s the average length?”

She’s having trouble coming up with a synopsis for her very first book, so any advice would be mightily appreciated!

    Hi December, thanks for posting!

Can I ask that all advice be posted on Anne’s blog please?

Last time I wrote a synopsis it was a couple pages, double spaced. Now some people write a synopsis that will summerize the story, while others give mini outlines. It really just depends on the publishers requirements

Thanks for the link, Karen! I’ve gotten some tremendously helpful feedback and samples of just what a synopsis should look like. And… *drumroll please* Though I’m sure it needs editing, the worst of it is over…. I am DONE with my synopsis.. finally!
