Lydia Joyce and her IQ of ten squillion sure gets around. She’s veering dangerously close to going on my wall of shame.
Not because she called readers dumb, I’m not really arsed about that, because it’s not the first time by an author, and I’m sure it wont be the last, but have you seen how freaking long her comments are?
Bitch, please, you gotta shorten those comments up. I simply don’t have the time to read anything so effing long-winded, also the big words really confuse me.
I bet I could reduce her comments at Dear Author to just a couple of sentences, let me try:
Woe is me, nobody understands a frickin word I write because I’m just too clever for the average reader, what with my twenty-syllable words and all. Don’t hate me for being fantastically fabulous, and smarter than y’all.
See, easy peezy, lemon squeezy.
Now, repeat after me, ‘brevity is my friend, brevity is my friend, brevity is my friend…..’

She’s a talker all right. I tried to read her posts at her own blog in response to DearAuthor and Monica Jackson, but wow, the effort would have been way too much.

I only tried Music of the Night by LJ and didn’t finish it. It seems I belong to those who are too stupid for her work, but I honestly couldn’t bring myself to finish the book.
After reading those mile long comments at dearauthor I can only say, I am happy I don’t like this author’s work, otherwise I would have to delete her from my reading list – just out of principle.

Like I said, I skimmed. Read the good parts but to try to read something so long-winded, wow. It would take herculean effort.

I read her blog yesterday and she is quite the vainglorious cunt. She was explaining what racist, incompetent whiners black people are. That was, of course, in between the self praise for her giant brain, her off the charts IQ. She’s a bit of a homespun philosopher as well. Miss Lydia was just brimming with advice for all the darkies, fatties, feminists, activists, and other assorted losers of the world.

*LOL* Do you know, that’s exactly what I thought when I read her comments at DearAuthor. I thought, for a writer she should have been watching her word count a little more closely. 🙂

I’ve never read any of Lydia Joyce’s books but I’m given to understand (from her) that they’re amazingly complex. Too complex in fact for those lacking her genius. To avert the tragedy of an idiot buying her books maybe a reader’s advisory sticker for dumb-asses should be placed on Joyce’s books. You know. A warning that readers with an IQ of less than 140 or thereabouts shouldn’t bother buying the book because it would be a complete waste of money. They won’t be able to understand it.
Generally brilliant people don’t need to announce their brilliance. It’s pretty obvious.

I made the mistake of visiting her blog. Dear heavens, words fail me, and that isn’t easy to do.
But really, is she nuts?

Barbara, the post full of advice for us normal folks has been removed. However, there’s a truly entertaining piece of work in which she claims to have been opressed by just about every group that exists including Mensa(who, btw, she STILL refuses to join). It’s worth reading just for the response from Monica Jackson; Ms. Joyce may now need adult diapers.

I find it mildly amusing that chickadee has to beat people over the head with her supposed brillance. I think, although I’m not positive, I read maybe her first book… can’t remember the name of it, can’t remember the plot or characters so I guess it wasn’t that fantastic of a book. I mean you’d think I would remember reading something with such BIG, CONFUSING words….. Now that I am thinking about it, that might have been the one where I stopped midway in favor of making a sandwich and just never picked it up again.

I started reading her long ass post about being oppressed as a smart young white woman and gagged on my own vomit, so I had to get out of there right quick.
In short, I still have no idea what it’s about, other than she’s a whiner of massive proportions.

I can’t believe a person of such self-proclaimed brilliance is so D-U-M-B!!
It’ll be interesting to see the fallout.

Good gosh. I did a Word count of her first comment and it was 1600+
How in the world could your sort out what she meant to say in all that?

There I was wondering who the fuck Lydia Joyce was, so I googled her. Turns out she’s that Down’s Syndrome looking chick from whose posts I never read at all-a-blog. Who knew! Bit in love with her own voice, isn’t she? Silly twat.
