Sooo… I got My Period Today…

Yes, I did.

I’ve been in London for a couple of days, and today I was in a meeting with some clients, when I realised that my woman’s time was upon me.

Luckily for me, the client I was with at the time was female, and we had a fairly friendly, informal business relationship, so I was able to ask her if she had any tampons or sanitary towels, and God bless her little heart she did.

Thank Oprah for women who carry spare sanitary towels. What would we do without them?

You call them sanitary towels? You poor thing, we call them sanitary napkins. Smaller in this case certainly seems better.

Sorry for your unhapy surprise and I’m glad your client was nice about it.

Although, could you imagine a woman saying, “No. You can’t have one of mine.” I’d slap her and blame it on PMS.

I keep spare ones in my closet at school, in my laptop case, in my purse, and in my glovebox. I’ve been caught 2 times in my life without a napkin or tampon and I never want that to happen again. Fortunately for me, most of my coworkers are female teachers and we all have spares. While I’ve never had to borrow, I have had to lend.

If someone told me I couldn’t have one of hers, I’d probably smack her too and then cry my way to someone who could help.

Hahahahahhahah mwahahahahah… I am in a serious gloat here and at the same time simpathetic .. After 36 years of hell and agony, I no longer have to worry about this problem. Surgery which should of have been done 10 years ago, was finally done this past year. I had no idea how much it was actually causing me to feel so bad. Of course, I now have the dreaded hot flashes… but hey.. I will take those over 15 days straight every month and pain so bad you have to knock yourself out.

Heh, I had no periods for 5 1/2 months and then started on my birthday…as if turning 51 wasn’t enough!
I had given my emergency boxes of pads and tampons to my 27 year-old daughter. I had 2 periods all year, but the f**king hot flashes are going to kill me. I am into the 8th year of this crap and would rather have PMS and a period. Menopause is not for the weak! My husband swears he is going to freeze to death! Heh- tough it up big guy!

I was on constant alert for periods. For two years+, I couldn’t have one unless I took some pills from my doctor and each one of those was a nightmare that required serious pain killers. Then they put me on pills for months that made me have a constant period. Five months. I should have taken stock on pads and tampons, seriously. I went back to not having any gratefully and wouldn’t you know it, I started having them again naturally. Horribly. Irregularly. I was ready to kill me a doctor.

Then, just before having sugery like the happy hot women above, lol, they tell me I’m pregnant. After NINE years! With TWINS!

So, long story short, I have loads of pads or tampons for anyone in need, lol.

This is one of my biggest fears. I’m the woman with the spare pads and tampons in her bag. I’d probably carry spare underwear if I could fit it into the side pocket of my handbag.
