This effing twat, who got caught slamming a book he’d never even read. How was he found out? The fucking book hadn’t even been written.
Check this out:
A book reviewer on a Swedish newspaper has got himself into hot water for writing a review of a book that has not been written. To make matters worse, Kristian Lundberg claimed the book’s plot was “predictable” and said the characterisations were one-dimensional.
Lundberg made the comments in Helsingborgs Daglad, in an article about recently published thrillers, reports Dagens Nyheter. Among those he reviewed were Britt-Marie Mattsson’s novel ‘Fruktans Makt’ (The Power of Fear).
Unfortunately for Lundberg, while the book had been advertised in publisher Piratförlaget’s autumn catalogue, Mattsson never actually got round to writing it.
What a dickhead.
Thanks to Bam for the info.

Apart from my righteous anger, it’s kinda funny.
Predictable and one dimensional? Am I the only one who sees the irony? I am, aren’t I. *back off to the corner I go*

Is anyone really surprised by this? I often read reviews immediately after reading a book and it often seems to me that the reviewer hasn’t actually read the book – skimmed the first and last chapters, maybe, and then just relied on the publisher’s handout. This guy is a step beyond that, but it’s not such a big step IMHO.

What an Idiot. I’m all for people sharing their opinions whether or not they agree with mine.
I love to read reviews of books and while they don’t normally sway my decision to read a book, they are still informative. This guy however takes the cake. He deserves the “fucktard award” as well as any backlash he receives from this, he just shot his creditbilty to all hell. Good Luck finding a new job, I have afeeling reviewing may not be a good career choice for him moving forward.
