At least I understand what all the excitement is about even if none of your other readers do !
How are we ever going to explain football to these people ?
Perhaps I should start writing a romantic/erotic novel where a young footballer from Portugal falls in love with a rich, American heiress ?
(What do you mean it’s been done already ?)
Great Joy !

Merlin, it’s wonderful to have a blog pal who understands what I’m feeling. I know my fellow bloggers don’t really get it, but I have enough fellow Man U supporter friends who I can discuss the intricacies of football with, to my heart’s content.
Now we need to spank Chelsea 3-0 in the FA Cup final!

Karen,
I already have the ending of the novel written and ready for filming.
The young star (from Portugal) is stepping up to take the vital penalty kick that could secure the title when a Chinook Helicopter lands in the middle of the pich.
The rich American heiress dis-embarks wearing an Armani ball-gown and dripping diamonds only to be scythed down by a vicious, two-footed sliding tackle from behind . It is Paul Scholes (played by Brad Pitt)……….
I’ll write it : you review it.
Fame and fortune beckons.
Yes ; 3-0 will do nicely !
