How Much?

Barbra Streisand is coming to Manchester, and she’s charging up to frickin £550 for her tickets. What. The. Fuck?

I think she’s the Dog’s Bollocks, but there’s no way I’m shelling out the equivalent of $1045 on a ticket to see her. No way, no how, especially when one considers that Lionel Richie’s tickets only cost £50 ($100) each. Sheesh.

HOLY SHIT!! I wouldn’t pay that much to see my favorite band play for me alone in my basement!

I just about swallowed my tongue when I saw the US equivalent. She sure thinks highly of herself doesn’t she? I would pay $5.00 to see let alone over a thousand!

When she last toured the states my older sis looked into getting tickets for my parents. My father adores Barbra. She thought, all three of us girls could chip in. She was expecting tickets to be pricey – but it was totally ridiculous. Don’t quote me on this because my memory is shot – but I want to say it was around $700 for the nose bleed section.

My sister, a woman of tact and grace, told me over the phone “Sh*t, I might pay that if I thought Babs throw in a bj for Dad.” LOL

I said the same thing when I saw the price for The Police reunion tickets. For that kind of money Sting would have to give me a knobber.

She’d have to pay me that much to go and see her……and extra for the bj.

She only charged $250 in Canada. And that wasn’t for nosebleed, either.
    Her concert was fan-freaking-tabulous!!!
But I don’t understand why on earth she’d charge so much in the UK? That’s beyond nervy…

When she played here in LA, tickets started at around $200 for nosebleeds. It was outrageous. I wanted to see her, but ther was no way in hell I was paying $400 for a pair. No way, no how.

No way, especially considering she might get a case of her famous stagefright and not show anyway. I think the price goes up where she expects lower turnout. You can probably go see her for ten bucks in NYC, lol.

This sounds to me like the famous “prawn sandwiches” syndrome Karen.

I’m sure you know what I mean.

Merlin, I know exactly what you mean, and unfortunately, I suspect that I’m actually a member of this particular Prawn Sandwich Brigade, as I buy the tickets as a corporate member. Hey, it’s a tax deductible perk, what can I say?
