Good Lord. Now she has her secretary and everyone else working for her in this soap opera mess she’s created. Shaking my head….That whole blog you linked is dedicated to happy prison inmates, I guess. And oh, no flaming (anything NEGATIVE) because her secretary will just hit the delete key.

The interview is reposted but not one of the original comments made it. Huh.
Welcome back, Karen, hope you and TTG had a good time!

My guess is that most–if not all–of the comments the “secretary” got weren’t positive. Or perhaps the PR person finally got a clue.
Again, it’s the complete erasing of JaynieR’s blog that puzzles me…

Somebody with some sense, has obviously told her to take the blog down. I wonder how she thought it was ever a good idea. Talk about being her own worst enemy. I’m beginning to think she’s going through some sort of mental breakdown. Her recent actions just don’t make sense.
And AztecLady, I think Jaynie just felt that it wasn’t worth the hassle, plus I guess, she was hoping the subject would die, then Engler goes and does something as stupid as putting up that blog.
As well as the one where they’re stereotyping Asian men, by saying that they have small dicks. Really clever way of alienating your readers. Wow, dumb doesn’t even begin to cover this woman and her side kicks.

I’d actually thought the silentcreams blog was a Schadenfreude-er blog built to get others to flood ec mail. What better was to annoy Jaid since she’s been smart enough to avoid board comment wars.
This is in no way like the Cornwell-Sachs thing, but Jaid has the resources to try and stop her harasser(s) if she’s inclined. I’m guessing these latest incidents will soon be traced unless the person or people know how to hide the ip tracks.

Claudia, I thought the exact same thing, but if that was the case, why would it be deleted?
Nah, I think this was her way of trying to persuade the rest of us that even murderers deserve love too.

Yeah, I went over there(to the second blog, not the prison one, eww) and commented on the stereotype and racist article on men from India, then I went and commented on another post, this one with a letter seeking advice, and the “advisor”(I use the term loosely) saying she’d hire a contract killer to take out the husband. What. The. Fuck?? So I commented, stated my piece, and lo and behold, they deleted my comments. Heh heh. I guess they don’t like the fact that I brought up the whole liability issue and that their posts have inspired me to create a whole new blogger category: Head-Up-Ass. *shrug* Hurts my feeling soooo much that they took down my comments. *snort*
And they put up a no-flaming disclaimer and they are now moderating comments. *eyeroll*
Dumbasses.

According to Black/Engler, she had nothing to do with that new site that re-posted the infamous interview. She credits “crazies in cyberland”. It’s certainly possible. But having read the original interview it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the blog was legit. Wouldn’t make any sense but there you have it.
Anyway, I’m still pretty shocked by the whole convict love thang. I’d always thought that only nutjob losers hooked up with cons, but Black/Engler is definitely no loser. Wow! I never knew love was so powerful. Bad credit is a deal-breaker for ME. I can’t fathom a love that can surmount a felony conviction, much less a murder. I guess I’m just trying to say that I wouldn’t piss on a con if he was on fire.

No one seems to learn… really people go play on yahoo groups for a bit.
I found at least 4 ‘closed’ you must join groups in romanceland that anyone and their dog could read the messages.
Well if their dog could read that is…

Let’s see, could it be the three blog entries and comments on the Tina/David interview you deleted?
A question as thick as yours makes me wonder if you’re being disingenous in asking it. Which makes me wonder other things about you. Did you really get a tip from someone or was that information you picked up from the goss mill when you worked at EC and you held onto it while things were still working out for you there? Are you one of the people actually out to get EC and Jaid? This was only a couple of months after you were identified as one of the two worst editors at EC and you are no longer with them.

OK, I completely get poking fun at jaynier for talking out of both sides of her mouth. yes hon… you are in case you are still feeling ‘a little thick’ I mean…
You call for gossip, then act shocked at people gossiping.
You say you are an unpc bitch who tells it like it is, then have nerve to say omg when did people get ‘nasty’ who are doing nothing more than you are or ever have.
You say you ‘must have changed’ and are a kinder, gentler blogger, than pout you missed the gossip and ask to have it sent to you.
You say gosh why 4 people delete, after you deleted all the crap that exploded.
Now saying all that and being one to dislike socks with passion… I find it ever so hard to believe that JaynieR made up that interview. And find it funny that seems to be the way no less than three people have ‘hinted’ at (or the same person seems to be doing).
Call me jaded but I seem to smell even more cover up for stupid behavior here…

Sybil, you interpreted my comment correctly. I’m not familiar with the previous incarnation of Jaynie R, and not impressed with this one.
Of course that interview was real. Although I don’t consider it as much an interview as an opportunity for Jaynie to allow her friend and former employer to handle the “spin”. And when it didn’t turn out to be the “we love Tina” fest- oops, there went those blogs.
I’m curious; how would the “goss” have been handled if that information have been about the owner of Samhain? or one of the smaller epubs?

I’m going to go with Karen and say Jaynie probably decided this wasn’t worth the hassle it’s caused.
I imagine Jaynie thought it was going to get some attention, but I don’t know if she expected it to get quite as much attention as it did.
I’ll be honest, I’m surprised a lot of things in blogland get the attention they do. Even the really bizarre things tend to just make me roll my eyes but I’m also terribly lazy. I’m not going to invest the energy to get too involved with a lot of the drama.
And uh… if Jaynie made that interview up? I’ll eat my clogs. Since I wear them for my gardening, they are pretty yuck.
Me, personally, I’ve been steering clear of this one. It’s more of a mess than I can wrap my brain around. But that’s just me.

1 – I didn’t make anything up
2 – I am not friends with Tina – when I asked her for her comments/interview, it was the first time I’d ever spoken to her.
3 – I deleted the interview because I was sick of the nastiness and hatemail it caused
4 – I asked for the blog post becasue somebody told me the blogger had copied my post and I wanted to see it.
5 – You don’t know me. I’ve never attacked anyone personally the way you guys have done to me over this. The whole thing just makes me sick.

Are you saying disagreeing with you is attacking you? You did a seriously boneheaded thing and presented in a light of ‘you had to do it’ and ‘you were doing it the only right way’.
You presented a seriously controversial topic in a light that you were agreeing with it. I can’t believe you thought no one would disagree or say uh no. Hold up there and tell you what they thought of it.
I haven’t seen anyone ‘attack’ you but maybe you were talking about your ‘hatemail’. As far as you have never attacked anyone personally… might want to run that by the author who’s private list and private life you took from her yahoo group and posted on your blog. I am too lazy to go look for the old posts but if I remember correctly your stand was she or he was cheating on a spouse so you thought no one should buy her.
And you had a few choice things to say about her character, among other things in two or three posts… Soooo agree or not that comes a lot close to ‘attacking someone’ than anything I have seen about you.

I’ve been reading the Kinsella book and it is not at all about sympathy for people who are murderers but an introspective look at why women choose to befriend and then fall in love with the lifers, about what type of woman, including Kinsella, are being taken in. It’s not at all about “you can’t help who you love” but rather what insecurities, hurt, frailities, drives women to choose such unhealthy relationships.
It does not inaccurately portray the criminal justice system and neither does it ask you to sympathize for the men who have committed heinous crimes.
