This is Leona Lewis, she won The X Factor (our version of American Idol, yet another Simon Cowell show) last year, and she is utterly fabulous. This is her new song, which went straight to number one this week.
I was in the car earlier today, and a song by Snow Patrol came on, but it wasn’t being sung by Snow Patrol, it was Leona doing a cover version of it. The hairs on my arms literally stood up.
Fabulous set of pipes. She really has…

What a lovely voice. I’ll certainly be looking for more of her music. Thanks for posting this.

I was disappointed the one guy didn’t get his balls kicked in.

She looks so different from her audition tape. I’m not sure if I like the song but I loved the lyrics. I wonder if the Snow Patrol version is much different.

Hey Karen,
Do you know if Ashley (he was on Season 3) has an album?

I’m not sure what’s more gorgeous. HER or her voice.

She sounds amazing. Kudos for her.
Hey Karen (or anyone who lives in England and watches this show), speaking of X Factor what’s the deal with the latest scandal of a contestant having to drop out because there are videos of her beating people up circulating around the internet? I was reading about this on a celebrity blog but didn’t have the full story. Did she voluntarily leave of did the producers ask her to? I didn’t realize girl fights caught on video was becoming such a big problem in other countries as well.

Hey Chandra, no need to be sorry, she’s not gopig to appeal to everyone, which is the way it should be.
Eve, I can’t believe you guy got that story so soon! The fourteen year old girl was filmed fighting and pulling somebody’s hair, on a cell phone. Apparently it was quite vicious.
She’s been made to quit the show, but I’m not really sorry, because she wasn’t that great a singer anyway.
Emma, I don’t think Ashley’s got an album out. I think I must be the only person who thought he was totally over-rated. He lloked the part, but that was about it.
By the way, you can hear her interview and the Snow Patrol version on the listen again option on Radio One Online. It was part of their Live Lounge set at Maida Vale. Alicia Keys was there the other day too.
Yes, I loved the lyrics too.

When I first heard the song on PerezHilton.com I didn’t listen to the whole thing, since the first part of it kind of turned me off. But, when I saw you had it up here, I gave it another try, and I’m glad I did. I pretty much glommed her on YouTube.lol. She kind of has a Mariah Carey feel, but with more class, and I think a clearer voice.

Hey Karen,
I KNEW it was here that I heard or read about Leona Lewis first…okay so I have totally watched all of the videos that I can watch of her and I can’t believe I’m all late on this bandwagon but I am loving Leona Lewis and I have to agree with Simon that she’s the best vocalist on any of the Idols I’ve watched and that’s saying something as I’m the biggest Carrie Underwood fan ever but Leona Lewis can blow and she’s effing gorgeous!
That video for Bleeding Love just came out over here in the states and I knew it sounded familiar, so yeah just had to come over here and thank you all extra late for introducing me to this fab new artist (for us Americans anyway).
HUGS!

Hi Rowena, she is rather special isn’t she? Did she sing on American Idol over there?
