    “They grow not old
As we who are left grow old,
    Age shall not wear them,
    Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
    And in the morning,
    We will remember them.”

    Thank you for remembering.

Shiloh, that poem is recited at every Remembrance Day service here.
I am always moved to tears.

What I find sad is those who are swept under the rug.

I’m the daughter and granddaughter of veterans. My father and grandfater rarely discuss their experiences. I only recently found out that my grandpa participated in Operation Market Garden during WWII. It makes this years holiday mean so much more realizing how lucky we are that he made it home.
