Lora Leigh, Chey McCray, and Sarah McCarty?

Let’s see shall we?

They are all former EC authors
They have all been signed by NY houses
They are all best-selling, and/or hugely popular authors

Hmmm… there’s a fourth connection, can you guess what it is? You’re allowed one guess, now try not to waste it… *g*

I’d said that they don’t feel the need to go around and make an ass of themselves.

They all know how to behave professionally online and have never acted like fucktards (at least that I know of).

Not sure of Chey’s fans, but I know that both Lora and Sarah have rabid fangirls *G* Snerk!

What is it Karen? And why aren’t you on Gmail ever anymore? Sheesh!

Heh. Then you must really love me, lol.

Nah, I’ve done my foot in mouth thing a time or two. Never said anything I didn’t mean, but I’ve learned that just because I mean it doesn’t mean I need to SAY it. 😛 Gasp… my mama would never believe it. I’ve learned diplomacy.

They also have given inspiration to others to hang on, keep writing and never give up the dream to surmount the odds and headaches involved in getting to “the big time”. They can all be very proud; and as for Chey McCray -personally, I think she’s one of the kindest and most thoughtful writers around! If anyone deserves success on those merits, she does.

You guys, you should all know me by now! Some interesting guesses though, lol

The one thing they all have in common is that although they are clearly talented writers who are hugely popular, Elloras Cave weren’t clever enough to treat them right, and keep them happy, thus they lost them.

Seems liket bad business decisions to me.

Oh yeah, and I read somewhere that Sarah McCarty doesn’t wear any knickers. *g*

    Karen, you are a tease!

“Oh yeah, and I read somewhere that Sarah McCarty doesn’t wear any knickers. *g*”

*Head desk* No matter how wrong that rumor is on so many levels, including the major “ew” factor, I can see you intend to torment me with it. I shall endeavor to hold my head up. (and not laugh too. *G*)

As for EC, as flattering as it is to be cast in the vicinity of Lora’s and Chey’s successes, (basking momentarily before dropping back to reality) I certainly can’t speak for them, but in my case, the truth is it just isn’t that uncommon for authors and houses to go in different directions. In many ways, more so in recent years, publishing has become a mobile business for new authors. It’s all about numbers and fit and finding that niche where expectations blend and in which one can flourish.

    Happy Thanksgiving all who celebrate!

They write the most creative and eye popping sex scenes I have ever read.
And they all write men who if I ever met in real life would throw me over his shoulder and have his wicked way with me!
