As the “husband”, I thank you. She will be wearing this to her next soccer class for sure!

Yes, she has been taking classes for a year and a half already, and loves it. She loves her soccer clothes, and wears her soccer shoes as much as any other. That’s my girl!

  • Wow, the number seven!
A truly magical number for Manchester United. Beckham and now Ronaldo wear it. Two of the greatest players football has ever seen.
And of course, the most illustrious wearer. King Eric.
God, I love that man. I’m definitely going to write a novel featuring a big, brutish footballer who happens to be French (though I doubt he’ll talk about seagulls and trawlers).
    Congratulations, Brianna, do it proud!
Angie, show her this, to see what a Manchester United number seven is capable of!

OMG, too freaking cute, Reagan will be drooling with envy if she ever sees Brianna wearing that.
What a great friend you have there.

Lynne, I loved that Cantona vid, were you as amazed as I was when Leeds agreed to sell him to us when they did? Worst move they ever made. Can you imagine Fergie selling Ronaldo to Chelsea or Arsenal? It would never happen.

While we’re reminiscing, we may as well look at the other special number sevens. I love this Beckham goals montage, as well as (There’s Only One) Ronaldo’s 07/08 goals.

Truly makes you proud to be a Devil worshipper doesn’t it? *g*

Too right, but Cantona and Fergie worked magic together.

“I love this Beckham goals montage, as well as (There’s Only One) Ronaldo’s 07/08 goals.”

Beautiful. Who else has that artistry and that panache?

“Truly makes you proud to be a Devil worshipper doesn’t it?”

Absolutely. when they won the double in 1999 and before they won the treble, I bought a sweatshirt and made my small son wear it everywhere “My Mum supports Manchester United and we won the double!” I still have it. When Ollie scored the final goal in the European Cup final I cried.
