Oh come on, you didn’t expect anything else surely? *g*

Anyway, so I hear that Chrissy Bashear is taking Tina Engler/Elloras Cave to court. For the full details, head on over to Dear Author, where Jane has the details. I think the story originated from the SBs blog, so you can go read the comments over there too.

Me, I have nothing to say other than I hope it gets dirty and that we all hear about it.

Just kidding of course. *g*

Hey, we haven’t blamed anything on Giselle Bundchen for a while, I think she should definitely carry the can for this, waddaya say?

Oh, by the way, if anybody has any interesting tidbits to add, you can always send me the gory details. As per usual, e-mail me at hairylemony @ gmail .com, total confidentiality guaranteed.

  • lol… so are you really not kidding, or kidding that you’re kidding?

I’m hoping the parties involved could sort it out amicably. Other than that, I’m just going to focus on writing.

I write for both publishers and my heart sank as I read the official notices from Patty and Crissy. Those words like “groundless” and “unfair” made me want to howl.

My guess is it’s gonna be a long, nasty battle with only lawyers coming out on top.

    Damn.

Someone pointed out that if EC is forced to open the books, it’ll be interesting. I’d rather get my thrills from fiction. No, wait, then Karen and DA and SBTB wouldn’t get to play in the drama-world that is epublishing.

Okay, I want the crap to come from publishers I’ve never heard of and have really interesting loons like DA McG in charge. (Say what you like about her, she’s not dull.)

I write for both, as well, and those words weren’t in either of the “official” statements to the authors I read.

You’re right, Shannon. I went back and read the notes and they’re calm.

I turned “We deny each and every allegation in the filing and will file an appropriate response” into “BRING IT ON, BeYOTCH.”

I was wrong about the tone, and I hope I’m wrong about the outcome.

As Luke says in SW: “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” I truly hope it doesn’t get nasty.

    Marianne,

I thought that was a Han Solo, not Luke, quote.

  • Actually, it’s both. Luke says it when they’re getting too close to the Death Star and Han says it…I think in the trash compactor. It was a running gag that was used in every Star Wars movie.

Now I’m going to go pretend I didn’t know that.

So Karen, can I start calling you our “dirty girl”? 😉

Marianne, I recall both Han and Luke saying that, too. But why they weren’t cuss’n like MF’s in that trash compactor I will never know…
