Karen’s Quotes Of The Week: Martin Luther King Jr.
Saturday, September 6, 2008Posted in: the quote whore strikes
I love this quote, and I felt it was especially relevant at the height of the Victoria Laurie Reader/Reviewer Slamfest:
History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Word.
It would be remiss of me to not include an excerpt from his most famous speech.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Martin Luther King Jr.
God rest his beautiful soul.
