This quote lies very close to my heart:

A ‘No’ uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a ‘Yes’ merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.

Mohandas Gandhi

This quote has never been more relevant than during these troubled times:

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

Mohandas Gandhi

Another truly great human being.

  • I love those, Karen. I hadn’t read them in a long, long time. Two other favorites of mine:

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it–always.”

  • Lynne beat me to mentioning my favorite quote: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” We used it as a theme at a training meeting, and for the longest time, that banner hung on our floor. The banner’s gone, but that quote lingers in my mind.

I recently saw a pendant with that quote on one side and a tree on the other. Think I need to order it.
