Mrs Thatcher was the first and only ever female Prime Minister in Britain. I thought she rocked on a grand scale. She had some memorable one liners, but here are some of the ones that weren’t so well known.

If you just set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.

I’m totally on board with that train of thought.

If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman.

True again. *g*

And I really loved this next quote, because it shows what a witty woman she was.

No one would remember the Good Samaritan if he’d only had good intentions; he had money as well.

Fabulous!

Whether one liked her politics or not, she truly was a great lady, and living proof that Britain once voted for a female Prime Minister, who stayed in office for eleven years.

I have great admiration for Baroness Thatcher. I voted for her the first time that I was able to vote.

My favorite quote on Baroness Thatcher is by comedian Frankie Boyle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankie_Boyle).

“Gordon Brown is trying to start a debate as to whether Margaret Thatcher should have a state funeral or not. The more important debate should be over whether or not we should wait until she’s dead before we bury her.”

(It’s much funnier with a Scottish accent)
