I’ve always had a soft spot for Dolly Parton. Everytime I see her on the TV, she just comes across as a really nice woman, with a fab sense of humour.

I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb… and I also know that I’m not blonde.

Hehe.

If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.

Too true.

I like this one too:

I’m not going to limit myself just because people won’t accept the fact that I can do something else.

And this one is seriously amusing:

I wanted to be the first woman to burn her bra, but it would have taken the fire department four days to put it out.

I love her.

  • Dolly Parton is one amazing person. Besides her musical and acting accomplishments she also heads the Imagination Library for financially disadvantaged children in Eastern TN. For those interested, here is a link for more info:

  • I absolutely adore Dolly and have since I was a little girl. I still remember going to the movie theater to see the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. LMAO.

  • Hehe, I love her.
My mom and I had the chance to meet her years ago at DollyWood. She was so sweet, so down to earth. And her boobs look SO much bigger in real life than they even do in pics or on TV. LOL

Two of my favourite quotes from her are,
“It costs a lot to make a person look this cheap.”

And after Jane magazine asked her to contribute to an article on ‘real beauty’ she said “I will have to decline, There isn’t a thing on me that is real.”

The bra burning one sure is funny! LOL
