I was there just a few hours and my ears still ring. Faces and names are swimming through what passes for my brain right now.

And my credit card is crying.

Moral: never let a book worm loose in a room full of authors sitting in front of stacks of their books to sell. Particularly if she has a credit card.

Next: the search for another overlooked hiding spot…

  • Hey, Azteclady!
So glad you had an insanely fun time. So many people, so many authors, so overwhelming, but in the best of ways!

Oh and you got some great books there too :)!

  • Looks like a good haul, AL. Just remind yourself…it’s only once a year. Twice if you go to RWA. LOL

  • Oh man Kristie, lemme see. The books in the picture are:

Dana Marie Bell’s Hunting Love anthology
    Dakota Cassidy’s Accidentally Dead
    Michele Bardsley’s Fantasyland
    Lauren Dane’s Standoff and Relentless
    Cynthia Eden’s Immortal Danger
Beth Williamson’s The Education of Madeline
    Beth Kery’s Wicked Burn
Kim Lenox’s Night Falls Darkly and So Still the Night
    Mary Burton’s Dead Ringer
Gennita Low’s Into Danger and Facing Fear
    Deirdre Knight’s Red Fire
Olivia Gates’ The Once and Future Prince
and Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ The Squad: Perfect Cover, for my daughter.

I am still trying to write something coherent about the experience of sharing space with something like two thousand book lovers and the books they love.

The energy in the room was indescribable, and both authors and fellow readers were kind, generous and energetic.

Ms Jamison, I only wish I had remembered to take more pictures–and that my stoopid camera hadn’t eaten half of the ones I did remember to take 🙁

  • It was so cool to finally meet you, Aztec Lady, and to find out those few secrets about you ;-). Thanks for dropping by at my table. When you showed me your badge, I almost leapt over the table, I was so excited!

  • I am so bummed that I missed meeting you. If I had known you were there, you would have definitely been on my ‘Must Stalk and Meet’ list.

    SIGH

    Maybe next year!
