This is what it says on the site:
Romancing The Blog launched on Tuesday, January 5, 2005, with a post by Katie MacAlister. Nearly five years and over 1500 posts later, the team of volunteer “Kates” has decided to put RTB on hiatus. If things go as planned, RTB will return mid-year with a new look, a new mission, new management, and even more insight into the romance industry. But for now, we say good-bye.
Oh what a shame. Really, I mean it. Uh huh.

I would never have noticed because I never went there unless someone pointed to a particular post there… I have never wanted to be an author, and to me it was a bit like looking behind the curtain and finding out the great and powerful oz is just a doofus like everyone else…
I am not that interested in the writing process, just the result at the end…

Well, that kinda sucks… I don’t visit there often, but there have been some interesting posts there.
Sallahdog, I hate to tell you this but some of us are actually bigger doofuses (or would it be doofi) than everybody else. O_O Said (mostly) tongue in cheek, and yep, definitely including myself in that group.

Too bad – I headed over there once in a while. It’s good to know they’ll be back.

yeah I am sure they are big doofuses at times. which I hate to find out if I love the way they write… Which is why I never hang out too much on websites of authors I love… I hate to mess with the magic…

I loved the opinion pieces aimed at the general romance community. I had no interest in the posts about the writing process, the publishing industry, or an individual author’s life. In the past year or so I lost a lot interest in RtB because it seemed geared more to romance authors rather than readers. Still, I hope that they are able to come back mid-year better than ever.
