So Did Tina Engler/Elloras Cave Lose To Crissy Brashear Then?
Tuesday, December 28, 2010Posted in: e-pubbed authors behaving like fucktards?, E-publishers at war, Elloras Cave
Anybody know how true this is?
ok, folks – here’s the update. I regret to inform you that Tina/Patty/EC have considerably p.o.’ed Her Honor, the Judge(27+ pages worth)and Crissy has won the Judgement on all counts and that the EC world is currently scrambling to liquidate assets.
Yep, I live in the same County as Tina/Patty/EC and I’M WATCHING IT HAPPEN, so if you’d like to verify go to the Summit County Courts Website and find the latest – you can search on Crissy, Tina, Patty or EC and search dockets. Best wishes to all – and Happy New Year. Ciao!
The comment was from an old thread at Dear Author.

I believe so. Dear Author reported about it in November. The website for the Summit County website is VERY slow (it may be the servers on my side, not sure) so I haven’t been able yet to check what the judgment was.

I learned a new word from the .pdf. Contumacious. It’s one of the more awesome words I’ve heard in a while.

I had a search of the Summit County Court website and couldn’t see anything current but I could have been having a brunette moment and looked in the wrong place. But, I did read the DA thread in November and asked a few people what the go was and they indicated ‘old news’ and ‘muck raking’ and basically DA ‘making something out of nothing.’ Uh huh… I await more info with interest.

I finally was able to make it in. The docket indicates: “NOTICE OF APPEARANCE OF JOSEPH F. GORMAN AS CO-COUNSEL FOR DEFENDANTS ELLORA’S CAVE PUBLISHING, INC.
This likely translates to a request for adjournment to the status conference set for December 17, and I smell appeal. I could be wrong though, but why announce a co-counsel this late in the proceedings. I am not an attorney, so I can’t claim that’s the case, but as a legal secretary, I’ve seen this happen both in PR and NY in cases I assisted with, and that is pretty much how they turned out.

I simply love the part where the judge states something along the lines of…Yo, defendants, you aren’t blind to the legal system. You’re working your thang in the big-leagues (Federal court) so don’t tell me you have no idea of procedure and consequences…
