My mother loved Amy Winehouse. She never saw a picture of her, she just heard the singing and was hooked. My mother is 75. Winehouse was a great singer and she died too soon. Its a shame no one could save her from herself.

I love her other songs, especially “Back to Black” and “F* Me Pumps”, but I have never been able to enjoy “Rehab”; it seemed like she was consigning herself to an early grave and everyone was cheering her on. I remember one news article that argued in favor of her addictions because tortured artists produce great works.
