I’m pretty sure Brenda Jackson writes romance.

I believe this was the Borders store on Sand Lake road, in Orlando. I could be wrong though, seeing as I went to quite a few.

Oh look, it’s raining in England. What a surprise

How lovely is this photograph?

Don’t you just love penguins?

We went on an airboat ride just off Boggy Creek Road, isn’t this a great shot?

Borders was my best friend on hols, this was the one in Clearwater (I think)

There’s something very majestic about lions don’t you think?

There is no such thing as balanced reporting in the US. Every damned channel seems to be biased towards one party or the other.

Fox News anchors taking sneaky hits at the Democrats, and CNN taking hits at the Republicans. And all of them operating under the illusion that they’re being fair and objective.

Whatever happened to balanced journalism?

And I thought the BBC were bad.

Sheesh.

By the way, TTG and I are leaving the States today, it’s been a grand old break from reality.

One Thing I’ve Learned This Week…

I effing hate restaurants that automatically add tips to your bill.

It really fucking annoys me. Especially when the service isn’t up to much.

Tips should not be a right, they should be bloody well earned. If you spend $120 on a meal for two, and not only was the meal only so-so, but the service wasn’t even outstanding, then I think it’s a damned cheek to add the 18% gratuity charge.

Of course we could have refused to pay it, but who wants to cause a scene?

Bah pissing humbug.

Hello From Florida…

For those out there who may be slightly worried about TTG and I, I thought I’d let you know that we decided to head for Orlando x 2 days, Kissimmee for a week, and Clear Water for the last week.  We decided that we’d be really pissed off, if the hurricanes messed with our holiday time.

Talk about providence.

We may still fly down to Miami however for a couple of days, depending on how the hurricanes are doing.

By the way, the most adorable little girl came up to me yesterday and held out her arms for me to pick her up, it was quite a funny moment, and after gaining permission from her mother I lifted her up in the air, and she squealed with such infectious pleasure, it was hard to worry about her lack of fear of strangers.

I did however give her mum my sympathetic, yet stern, she-needs-to-be-taught-that-she-can’t-speak-to-strangers look.

Leaving On A Jet Plane III…

We’re off on our hols for two weeks.  We decided to bring Florida forward a few months, so unfortunately, no RT for me next year. Oh what a shame.

We’ll be journeying to Miami, Clearwater, and the Keys.

We’ll be leaving first thing tomorrow morning.

I don’t know if I’ll bother logging on, once we get there, as this is going to be a relaxing holiday. Nothing strenuous for two weeks, just lots of eating, sleeping, and reading by the pool. Oh and lots of book-buying excursions too.

Hopefully, the hurricane will bypass Florida this year.

I’ll catch you all when I get back!
